Parental gate
A check a child cannot pass alone. These are always behind it:
- Links that leave the app (this site, email).
- Opening a game above the age group.
- Resetting all progress.
- Age group and time limit settings.
Data
Everything stays on the device.
- Stored
- Game progress (stars, opened levels, gears), settings (language, spoken hints, vibration, speed), the age group and the daily time counter.
- Sent
- Nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no third parties.
- Spoken hints
- Made by the device's own text-to-speech. The microphone is not used and nothing is recorded.
- Progress report
- Settings → "Copy progress report" copies the child's report to the clipboard; you can share it with their teacher if you like.
- Deleting
- When the app is deleted, this information is deleted too.
Frequently asked
Your questions.
Which ages is Kodlandia for?
Ages 7–13. On first launch a parent picks the age group (7–8, 9–10, 11–13); games above it stay locked unless a parent opens them.
Does it need the internet?
No. Every game works offline.
Will my child write code?
No keyboard or code blocks. The child orders commands, builds rules and finds bugs: they learn how a coder thinks.
How do I reset progress?
On the games screen: Settings → Progress → Reset all progress. A parental gate asks first.
How do I turn off spoken hints?
Settings → General → Spoken hints. Speech comes from the device's own text-to-speech; the microphone is never used.
What are lives?
KodBot has 5 lives; a failed run costs one and a life returns every 30 minutes. Mini-games have no lives.
